NAME
The name of the organisation shall be Cappoquin Civic Link
The officers of this organisation shall consist of:
Chairperson
Vice-Chairperson
Secretary
Treasurer
P.R.O.
OBJECTIVES
The General Objectives of the organisations are to:
1) co-operate with organisations in Cappoquin and surrounding areas,
in order to improve the quality of life for all those living in
the community.
2) try to improve communications between groups and organisations
in the area.
3) facilitate and to promote social inclusion for all.
MEANS
OF ACHIEVING OBJECTIVE
i. To facilitate communications between other organisations/clubs
in the community

Cappoquin Civic Link shall be a non-profit making organisation

Constitution:
EQUALITY
This organisation will be apolitical.
This organisation shall not discriminate on any of the following
grounds:
Age, Sex, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Marital Status, Family
status, Member of the Travelling Community, Members of an Ethnic
Group, Disability
COMPOSITION
The organisation shall consist of a minimum of 12 members democratically
elected at a public meeting. The elected members shall then elect
their own officers.
Members can be co-opted on to the committee should expertise in
any field be required and in the case of members leaving during
the course of their elected term, replacement members can be co-opted
to take their place.
If
members are deemed to have poor attendance i.e. miss three meetings
in succession without adequate reason or notification, they will
be deemed to have left the organisation and the above will apply.
DECISION
MAKING
In the event of conflict and the lack of progress in relation
to any issue, it is agreed that the issue in question will be
put aside in order for committee members to consider without influence.
The issue will be again raised at the following meeting for a
decision to be taken by consensus.

NOTICE
OF MEETINGS
In general the date of meetings will be decided at each meeting,
in the event of a change of date, members will be notified at
least one week in advance. Notification shall also be placed in
the local papers
QUORUM
An attendance of a least 7 members is required to hold
an official meeting.
GENERAL/PUBLIC
MEETING
It has been decided that the initial setting up period be 18 months
and that thereafter general meetings will be held every 12 months.
This meeting will be advertised by means of local press, flyers/posters,
and local radio.
FINANCIAL
STATEMENTS
At each general/public meeting a balance sheet for the preceding
period shall be presented to all in attendance. Should any member
of the public require information in regards to our finances during
the course of the year, this information will be delivered.
MEETING
MINUTES
Should any member require a copy of the minutes of any meeting
they will be furnished with a copy as soon as is possible allowing
for the secretary to print them out.
THIS CONSTITUTION AND RULES OF CAPPOQUIN CIVIC LINK SHALL COME
INTO EFFECT ON THE 26TH OF JUNE 2006.
